Building the Infrastructure Behind the Action

Across the world, civic space is closing and digital threats are rising. In response to this growing pressure, HOST partnered with Acter — a decentralised, secure organising platform designed by and for activists. Our shared mission: to protect and strengthen the ecosystems movements rely on to organise, communicate, and lead with confidence.

Announced in our Allies + Action newsletter, this collaboration is grounded in a shared belief that strong movements need strong infrastructure — both digital and operational. Acter's encrypted messaging, task management, and in-app calendars provide grassroots leaders with secure, flexible tools that allow them to coordinate and mobilise safely, beyond the reach of surveillance or censorship.

HOST complements this by delivering robust legal, financial, and compliance support. Together, we offer an end-to-end system of care that meets movements where they are — and helps them build from there.
