HOST 5-Year Impact Report - Our achievements from 2020-2025

Our Story - How HOST Supports Global Change-Makers

We exist to enable people who won't accept the status quo — people with the vision and determination to tackle the world's toughest challenges.

Since we started in 2020, we've been a trusted partner to over 90 movements in more than 80 countries across 6 continents, providing the infrastructure, expertise, and funding access they need to scale their impact.

We work hand-in-hand with activists, grassroots groups, intermediaries, service providers, and funders — taking care of financial, operational, and legal complexities so change-makers can focus on what they do best: making change happen.

HOST is established to support people shaping a better world — and we're on that journey too. From the way we work to the choices we make, we're committed to learning, improving, and contributing to a more just future. Explore our impact story and what we're building next for more.

HOST's vision is a world where anyone can make change happen. Our mission is to host the world's change-makers, enabling climate and social action.

From Climate 2025
to HOST
Since 2020, we've worked to accelerate and amplify the impact of grassroots activists and movements tackling the escalating challenges of global climate injustice. What began as Climate 2025 has now evolved into HOST — an "ally for action"; a pivotal transformation which sees our organisation grow to meet increasing demand and enhance our ability to support change-makers worldwide.

Our transition into HOST builds on our impact to date, while reflecting our organisation's growing development of an inclusive, robust, and systemic approach to driving change. While our new name and visual identity act as an exciting vehicle to carry us forward, they also resolutely honour our commitment to integrity, empowerment, and collective action — core values that have guided us from the beginning and will continue to guide us into this next chapter.

Our key achievements

Achievement 1 of 5: 80+ Countries | 90+ Movements Hosted

80+ Countries | 90+ Movements Hosted

We've supported change-makers in every corner of the world — from youth-led movements and frontline organisers, to large coalitions pushing for systemic reform. Our global reach reflects our mission: to centre equity, justice, and access in everything we do.

Acting as an "ally for action", our work bridges the gap between those driving action and those supporting it, not only empowering movements but also working closely with funders and philanthropists as well as other intermediaries and service providers (like ourselves); ensuring effective partnerships with those who share our vision for driving long-lasting, systemic social and environmental change.

The climate and ecological crisis is intersectional, rooted in exploitative power dynamics between peoples and the planet. To truly act on climate change, we must address these dynamics and work towards justice in all its forms. HOST's work now extends beyond climate action, supporting change-makers working at the forefront of climate and social justice.

We've always known that we cannot face global challenges alone. While we've made significant strides, the scale of the crises we face demands more from us. We believe in the power of people to do extraordinary things — and that power has never been more essential than it is now.

Scaling up to meet global challenges

Protection, Partnership and Power for Change-Makers
We see the climate and social justice landscape becoming increasingly complex and fraught with personal risk. As the world trends towards authoritarianism, HOST now has the capabilities and focus to navigate this challenging global terrain, reducing risks for all our change-making partners.
Growing by Every Metric, Guided by Justice
We continue to grow by every metric, every year.
The world needs more people acting on climate and social injustice — and it needs organisations like ours to enable and amplify their efforts. By committing to scale up our support through partnership and proven practices, we are determined to enable action on a global level.

Our Vision for the Future

Strengthening Our Commitment to Systemic Change
Our evolution from Climate 2025 to HOST marks the beginning of a renewed journey — one grounded in a heightened commitment to systemic climate and social action. This transformation deepens our focus on inclusivity, sustainability, and collaboration, while reinforcing our core mission: to host the world's change-makers and enable action that tackles both immediate needs and structural injustice.
Gratitude to our Movements
We are deeply grateful to the 90+ movements who have been part of our journey under Climate 2025. Your unwavering commitment to justice — particularly those of you from the Global Majority regions, including Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and the Middle East — has been a constant source of inspiration.

We are committed to amplifying your voices and providing the support you need to navigate and overcome systemic challenges. Your leadership and courage shape our work, and we are honoured to stand alongside you as we push forward together.
An Open Invitation to Collective Action
As HOST, we invite all stakeholders, movements, and partners to join us in shaping a future where climate action and social justice are accessible, inclusive, and impactful. Together, we can build an ecosystem that supports the resilience of grassroots movements, enabling them to overcome operational barriers and lead meaningful change. We urge funders, activists, and allies to join us in this transformative journey, advancing climate and social justice through a unified, collective approach. HOST is ready to support the world's change-makers, guiding a global network towards a more just and sustainable world.
